Location & arrival
The way to the Zillertal is easy to find. Whether by car, bus & train or plane. All roads lead to Mayrhofen.
Once you arrive in Mayrhofen, you will find the Alpendomizil Ahorn on the outskirts of the village in the Oberkumbichl district. Charmingly quiet location at the foot of the Ahorn mountain, directly on the edge of the forest, yet centrally located and only a few metres from the Mayrhofen Mountain Railways (Ahornbahn and Penkenbahn).
Directly via the Inntal motorway A12 you reach the exit "Zillertal". Now follow the Zillertal federal road B169 for approx. 35km to Mayrhofen. It is best to stay on the bypass road until you enter the town at the entrance south and then drive on the Tuxerstrasse until you reach the crossroads at the bridge (Hotel Brücke on the right-hand side) and turn half right in the direction of Ahornbahn/Stilluppe. Staying on the road, the route goes uphill until you reach our domicile. If the road is covered in snow, be sure to put on chains!
The Austrian Federal Railway (ÖBB) will take you to Jenbach station. Here you change to a train or bus of the Zillertal transport services (Zillertal train or Zillertal bus). Now you travel through the beautiful valley to Mayrhofen. Once you arrive at the station, take a taxi to our house.
The nearest airports are in Innsbruck (71km), Munich (166km) and Salzburg (154km). Memmingen (206km) is also a popular arrival point for holiday flights to Tyrol. By airport shuttle, such as the Four Seasons airport taxi, you can go directly to Mayrhofen.
